Some bad news is coming up for PUBG Mobile fans in India. The Jammu and Kashmir Students Association reportedly has asked the Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Naik to ban the game immediately. The student body demanded the ban of the popular game based on their claim that the PUBG game is responsible for poor results in the recent class X and XII board exams. They pointed out that PUBG is extremely addictive, resulting in the below-par board results of Class X and XII.

PUBG Mobile, which is available both on Android and iOS, is one of the most popular games in India right now. It appears a shock to everyone as the student body has gone so far as to compare PUBG Mobile to drugs.

The game should have been banned immediately after the poor performance of 12th and 10th class results but still we haven’t seen any action. – Raqif Makhdoomi, Deputy chairman, Pristine Kashmir

“The addiction to this game has become more concerning than addiction to drugs as we get to see youngsters 24 hours on the mobile phones and playing the game and doing nothing. We request the governor administration to immediately ban the game.” Jammu and Kashmir Students Association Chairman Abrar Ahmad Bhat went as far as to term the game as a “future spoiler”. This is not the first time that PUBG Mobile has made headlines due to the wrong reasons. Previously there was a rumor surrounding PUBG that it was being banned in Mumbai. The news, obviously, was fake. However, the demand of the student body seems a little extreme. They are completely ignoring or siding other factors which are intricately related to the bad board results.

PUBG Mobile publisher Tencent has not commented on this matter yet.
