In the last couple of weeks, Realme’s latest flagship, the Realme GT5 Pro, has received several leaks ranging from its design to displays and specifications. The smartphone is set to make its grand debut in China on December 7, as confirmed by the mobile brand. However, a recent teaser image has given us a sneak peek into what could be a game-changer in the world of mobile photography.

As teased by tipster Mukul Sharma, the upcoming Realme GT5 Pro is said to proudly boast a 50MP periscope telephoto camera featuring the cutting-edge Sony IMX890 sensor. This high-resolution sensor promises to redefine smartphone photography, capturing intricate details and delivering impressive image quality. With this, Realme aims to set new standards with this industry-leading telephoto lens, marking a significant milestone for the brand.

Judging from the teased image, there’s more intrigue because Realme claims to have an industry-leading telephoto lens, and it is projected that the 3x telephoto lens will revolutionize zoom capabilities by giving users photos with never-before-seen clarity and detail. This is a significant turning point for Realme as the company pushes the limits of smartphone photography and enters uncharted territory.

Previously, the device has been reported to feature a robust camera setup, including a 200 MP wide lens, a 13 MP ultrawide lens, and a 2 MP macro lens. A 32 MP wide camera on the front promises great video calls and selfies. Realme included a vegan leather rear panel for a touch of luxury while still emphasizing performance and aesthetics. The device weighs 205 grams and has dimensions of 163.1 x 75.4 x 8.9 mm, achieving a balance between form and function.

Under the hood, the Realme GT5 Pro is expected to be fueled by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Octa-core processor, coupled with the Adreno 740 GPU. The device provides users with room to preserve their memories and run demanding applications with ease thanks to its generous 256 GB internal storage and 8 GB RAM. The smartphone is also expected to be powered by Android 14, guaranteeing a snappy and fluid user experience. A 6.74-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1240 x 2772 pixels promises vivid colors and an immersive viewing experience for users.

Other expected features of the Realme GT5 Pro are a non-removable Li-Po 4700 mAh battery supported by Super VOOC 240W charging, 5.3 Bluetooth, A-GPS, Glonass, NFC, and USB Type-C 2.0. Additionally, the device packs a punch with a variety of sensors, including Light, Proximity, Accelerometer, Compass, and Gyroscope. As we anticipate the official unveiling of the Realme GT5 Pro on December 7th, we hope to see how the integration of the Sony IMX890 sensor and industry-leading telephoto lens transform mobile photography.
