Although timidly, the bet of the big manufacturers for the Android Go system seems firm. In the middle of last year, the Galaxy J2 Core was the first phone with the Android Go of Samsung, although since then, we have not seen any project the Koreans in this regard. Now, “Geekbench” has filtered a potential leak of new mobile from Samsung with Android Go.

In the document that has been leaked on SlashLeaks, we can see how the device labeled “SM-A260F” appears, which also runs Android 8.1 with an Exynos 7870 processor and 1GB of RAM. In the same list is referred to as “go” letting you see that the device runs the version of Android Go based on Android Oreo 8.1

Android Go specifications

We can also see details about a GPU Mali T830, which is accompanied by the aforementioned Exynos 7870, a chip manufactured in 14nm that has 8 cores at 1.6 GHz. These technical specifications square a priori with what we have been waiting for from a smartphone with Android Go.

That is, low-end technical specifications but capable of performing at an acceptable level. Recall that Samsung’s first Android Go, the Galaxy J2 Core, has a 5-inch screen (960 x 540 pixels), a rear 8-megapixel camera, and 5 megapixels on the front with a chip Exynos 7570 quad-core, 1 GB of RAM, and 8 GB of internal storage. This is a great device to buy.

At the moment, we do not have more information about this device, nor its possible name or launch date. It is possible that if Samsung shows it at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, the big releases eclipse its presence, but it is interesting to know that the company is still focused on the Android Go project.
