According to SamMobile sources, the Galaxy S22 phones have been awarded model numbers. Despite the fact that the Galaxy S22’s release date appears to be a long way off, speculations and leaks are beginning to surface, providing early peeks of the device.

The model numbers for the S22 series have been provided by SamMobile sources.

First and foremost, keep in mind that the phone names are still provisional. The Galaxy S22 will reportedly have the model number SM-S901x, the S22+ will have the model number SM-S906x, and the Ultra will have the model number SM-S908x.

The SM-G9xx model number series debuted with the Galaxy S5, which was known as the SM-G900x at the time. Since then, with new flagships, these figures have progressed, and today, with the S21 series, these numbers have reached SM-G991x, SM-G996x, and SM-G998x.

On the other hand, Samsung appears to have chosen against using the SM-G1000x for the S22 series. The corporation appears to have replaced the G following the dash with an S and restarted the numbers with 9xx.

According to reports, these three model numbers indicate that the S22 models will support 5G connectivity, which is now standard for Samsung flagships. However, the sources did not provide any other information regarding the phones.

So far, it is learned that the S22 Ultra’s camera will be improved to a 200MP Olympus sensor, that S Pen compatibility will be available, and that the processor will most likely be constructed on a 4nm process (either Snapdragon or Exynos). In January of next year, the phones are scheduled to be revealed.
