Intel Shooting Star Drones

From the opening ceremony to the closing ceremony, Intel is helping the athletes and the fans of the Winter Olympics experience future. Intel shocked everyone and won everyone’s heart with the marvelous ‘Shooting Star’ show using the drones manufactured by the company. The Intel Shooting Star drones is a huge step forward into the future experience of everyone. No one has ever seen anything like it before.

For the Olympics game alone, Intel brought over 1200 drones to PyeongChang for everything from the opening ceremony, to the world record show, to the closing ceremony. The exact numbers of the drones at the ceremony was 1,218 which in itself made a Guinness World Record.

The Olympic games bring the world a little closer to each other and while the world gather, Intel star drones took flight with a symbol of Peace. The drones lit up the sky with the symbol of a Dove fluttering its wings above the Olympic stadium. Athletes and attendees were treated to a nightly light ceremony to celebrate the day’s events. At the closing ceremony, the drones returned in the shape of the Soohorang, the mascot of the XXIII Olympic Winter Games.

Just like Soohorang, our Intel drones team has a challenging spirit and passion to push the limits and make amazing experiences possible, It’s been an honor to celebrate such magnificent athleticism and teamwork with Intel drone light shows, and a victory for us to see our animations of the games come to life. – Natalie Cheung, General Manager of the Intel drone light show team

The mascot is seen running above the stadium sky, cheering on the athletes and creates a love sign in the sky to denote and spread the love for all the Olympic athletes and fans from around the world.
