MediaTek’s revenue for March this year surged staggeringly, reaching NT$50.479 billion, marking a striking 31.3% increase from the previous month and a sturdy 17.5% rise from the same period last year.

For the first quarter of this year, MediaTek’s cumulative revenue reached NT$133.458 billion, an unbelievable 39.53% year-on-year growth.

According to Canalys, a leading market research firm, MediaTek showcased an exceptional performance in shipments during the fourth quarter of 2023, boasting an ample 21% year-on-year increase. This consecutive accomplishment propelled MediaTek to become the leading mobile phone chip manufacturer in terms of shipments for the quarter.

Looking at the path laid out in front of it, MediaTek is diligently developing its next-generation Dimensity flagship processor. It plans to unveil the Dimensity 9400 in the fourth quarter of this year. This chipset will leverage TSMC’s novel 3nm process.

MediaTek retains its exuberant dedication to utilizing Arm’s CPU architecture this year, building a large core from Cortex-X4 to Cortex-X5. Additionally, the Dimensity 9400 is expected to feature support for LPDDR5T memory to cater to the demands of local AI operations, necessitating faster and more efficient memory.

As per revelations by blogger @digitalchatstation, the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 flagship chip is clearly focusing on impressive performance metrics, aiming for a Geekbench 6 single-core score of 2700 points (a 19.3% increase compared to Dimensity 9300) and a multi-core score of 9800 points (a 24.7% increase compared to Dimensity 9300).

Furthermore, it’s rumored that the GPU accompanying the Dimensity 9400 may be named Immortalis G9xx. It is projected to have a GFXBench Aztec Ruins 1440p frame rate of 110fps, exceeding the previous generation’s performance by 11.1%.
