A report from yesterday, March 23, says that Apple is on the way to being the 11th smartphone brand for Indian iPhone users to have over 10 million users within this year. By the end of 2017, it had 8.9 million users.
The estimated 3 million shipments for 2018 is supposed to see Apple reach the mark. The data was provided by Mobilytiks, a big data analytics program in the country for mobiles. It is introduced by CyberMedia Research (CMR), the market research firm of India.
According to the report, an aggressive move on assembly plans for the nation will see off Apple reach the feat sooner. On the way, the tech giant will have its entry into the mid-premium smartphone market of India.
When it comes to the Asian country, 10 other smartphone brands have already achieved the mark. Samsung has about 120 million users by the end of 2017. Xiaomi is an emerging brand that already has more than 28 million users!
India is a price-sensitive market, and around 56% of the smartphones are bought for an average of Rs. 10,000. Considering this makes the feat more remarkable for Apple, should they accomplish it; and they would!
