In its P40 series online conference held on April 8, 2020, Huawei showcased a host of its latest applications. Huawei is making a major push in the market to challenge Google applications. Due to the trade restrictions imposed by the US government, Huawei can’t use any Google applications on its devices.
The most important release of the P40 series conference is the Huawei Credit Card.
The Huawei Electronic Card is based on Huawei Pay and promises strong security features. You can pay for groceries or apparel or food with just a single tap.
Despite the constraints, the Chinese company is trying to make the best of its situation. A variety of applications were advertised in the conference. These included :
- Huawei Shares: This is a file-sharing application where multiple mobile phones can connect and send or receive files.
- Huawei Connects: These featured high-definition video calls, wireless sound transmission with the mobile phones acting as microphones, multitasking with smart split-screen, a multi-device control center to act as a smart home control app.
- HICar: An interface between the car host and mobile phone which enables multimedia control. Mobile phones can also act as car keys.
- In addition, it has an artificial intelligence feature to assess the driver’s fatigue levels and recommend driver safety accordingly.
The Chinese tech giant has taken the smartphone world by storm with its P40 series. Not only does the P40 series come with very powerful hardware but also great applications. The lack of Google products definitely creates problems in the usage of third-party applications. But this hasn’t stopped them from making a strong impression in the market.
