A few of the users of the Samsung Notebook 9 Pro were having trouble with their display screens. The Notebook 9 Pro offers premium notebook service. The problem persisted mainly with the NP900X5N-X01US Display screen. Apparently the display screen becomes dysfunctional after turning the notebook on from its sleep mode.

Restarting the notebook or even booting it again proved to be ineffective. There seemed to be no issue with the overall notebook, and every other aspect of it seemed to be in perfect working condition starting from the plugin charger to its keyboard. In the case of tuning in a new external monitor, the problem still persisted, and the external keyboard even stopped responding. What appeared to be the problem for the user, as per his own account is that the notebook kept on running because the heat dispersal fan kept working but the screen just stopped responding to any and every command.

The solution provided by the developers at Samsung seemed pretty forward, and it worked for a few users, if not for all. According to a few of the developers at Samsung, the problem did not lie with the company itself or with the manufacturing of the notebook, but rather with the graphic card. The issue arose from the NVIDIA graphic card (GeForce) which compelled the laptop to work normally as it should, but made the screen go black and unresponsive.

Another solution that apparently solved the issue had to do with the Panel Self-refresh with the Intel graphics. To fix this problem, users need to go to the Intel Graphics Settings and click on Power which will take them to the “On Battery” option, clicking on which get them to the “Panel Self Refresh” option, and the users need to disable it. This simple method of disabling the Panel Self Refresh has prevented the screen from turning black and unresponsive.
