The amazing Huami Amazfit GTS 2 smartwatch finally had its official launch today alongside GTR 2 around 2 PM in China, at the Black Sugar Box Art Center in Beijing.
Succeeding their original GTR and GTS version, these new products are said to be embedded with features running close to Apple Watches as observed by Huami CEO, Wang Huang, which specifies features like a SpO2, or a stress detection features.
Huami Amazfit GTS 2
Weighing around 24.7 grams and measuring 9.7mm, this is considered to be a lighter and thinner smartwatch than Amafit till date. Its display option offers a 1.65-inch super retina AMOLED screen with a maximum brightness of 450nit.
It has a ‘sleek, integrated, and immersive design concept’ promoting curve edged technology for a bigger screen space ratio. Assembled with three varying materials of glass, metal, and organic materials, this model comes with the perfect look that anyone can aspire for.
When it comes to functionality, the Amazfit GTS 2 supports 12 different sport modes that facilitate a wider range of dynamic features. It has three definite functions- music functions, health functions and smart functions. Currently, the model comes in three colour variations namely, Obsidian Black, Streamer Gold and Dolphin Gray and is priced at 999 Yuan.
Huami Amazfit GTR 2
Unlike the Amazfit GTS 2 which has a square dial, the new GTR 2 comes with a round dial and features the same AMOLED screen display, with round edge technology, and metal casing.
With its sports look and similar functionality that specifies music, health and smart functions, this new GTR 2 will run on a faster and better battery system that its preceding 410mAh GTR models.
Wang Huan confirms that it has taken a lot of effort to build new designs that had to have features to surpass its preceding models. Both the models, therefore, were built with Green, Red and Infrared LEDs like the Apple Watch Series 6 to detect an accurate measurement.
Huami has also confirmed that the smartwatches will be aided by NetEase Cloud music, improved health and fitness features by partnering with Prudential, and an integrated Xiao AI assistant that works both online and offline.
For now, we do expect the basic features like Wi-Fi, bigger battery, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, GPS, GLONASS, water-resistance but we still need to wait a while for feedbacks, while Huami braces up for yet another launch of the Amazfit Neo that might hit the Indian market soon.
