An official announcement has been made with the upcoming first-person shooter video game, popularizing as the ‘Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’. This has been trending over the internet this year, as a direct sequel to Call of Duty: Black Ops, set to release on November 13.

Creator, Treyarch, and Raven have mostly focused on the single-player, and zombie mode specifically but most recently, in a recent revelation, Dan Vondrak, the senior creative director of co-developer Raven Studio, mentioned three levels of this new video game set up.

  1. Nowhere to Run: This is based on a tavern set up where three CIA operatives meet with the mission of capturing their sole target, responsible for a hostage crisis. The occurrence of this event takes place three weeks past New Year’s eve of 1981. This level also brings us to the introduction of Adler along with the return of Woods and Mason. This is then followed by multiple shootouts and encounters over a rooftop, from which the scene gradually shifts to the Trabzon Airfield in Turkey with the capturing of their target which the players can track with a radio-controlled car full of explosives.
  2. Fracture Jaw: This second level of the game, introduces Perseus as the long-sought Russian spy-target and it appears as a flashback episode, set in Vietnam. Several rice fields and jungle become the fighting ground where the players have to show their gaming skills and fight off Perseus, who is known to be “on a mission to disrupt the balance of global power and change the course of history.”
  3. Desperate Measures: Also known to be the mission of ‘Bringing Risks’, this level has the player sneak up the KGB headquarters as a double agent, where, “Using the latest technology from the 1980s, including modified civilian tools and prototype machines,” player has to get the task accomplished.

The blog post further mentions as a comment that” “[One] odd move or awkward discussion could lead to cover being completely blown, compromising the mission and turning it into an all-out fight for survival.” And coming to the information on the downloadable content, it is confirmed that they will be available for the players completely free.
