Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5: New location, characters, skins, and more

Fortnite is back with an all-new season for their second chapter including new maps, hunting grounds, battle pass, skins, and many more exciting things. The players can easily avail the newest version of Fortnite with the 15.0 update. The developers have already released update 15.0 for the game on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, and Android.

Chapter 2: Season 5 has been dubbed “zero point” and it follows the Galactus event. After the defeat of the Galactus in Season 4, the zero point explodes introducing the loop. The new Fortnite season 5 will do live starting December 2, 2020 onwards. This new season will be offering “The Loop”, new map locations, new weapons and will also introduce new characters to the game.

What changes with the new season?

The last season of Fortnite has based on the Marvel theme. As for Chapter 2: Season 5, this new season unveils some of the original Fortnite characters including the famed Star Wars bounty hunter.

New locations

Fortnite season 5 introduces new locations to the map. The exploding zero points will add up new locations in the game including a jungle area and a sci-fi desert. The tilted towers are back in the game and new materials are included. The hunter’s place is at the southern part of the map and jungle and sea area are there too.

The locations of the map include Salty Towers, Colossal Coliseum, Dirty Docks, Retail Row, Catty corner, Lazy Lake, Misty Meadows, Hunter’s Haven, Weeping Woods, Slurpy Swamp, Holy Hedges, Sweaty Sands, Coral Castle, Stealthy Stronghold, Craggy Cliffs, Steamy Stacks, and Pleasant Park.

New Characters

During the last Marvel inspired season 4, we could see the Marvel superhero charecters straight out of comic book. This time, for season 5, Fortnite has involved hunters from different realities joining forces to fight “the loop”. One of these bounty hunters includes the Mandalorian who is accompanied by Baby Yoda.

After purchasing this season’s battle pass, the players will be able to unlock characters like an ancient warrior and a sci-fi hunter. There’s also a creature called “Mancake the fighting Flapjack” and “Mave, the shape shifter” in the game. The players will also get various skins with the update.

These include Reese with two variants Nebula Racer and Galactic Ranger; Mancake with two variants – Cake and Lonesome Hero; Mave with four variant- Reactive Hair, Unstoppable, Reactive Tail and Sheildbreaker; Kondor; Lexa with two variants – Infiltrator and Warstrike; Menance with seven variants – Mask, Challenger, Light Helmet, Light Helmet – Plume, Undefeated, Heavy Helmet and Undefeated – Flame.

New weapons

The newly added weapons in the game will let the players enjoy them even more than before. Fortnite season 5 adds up various new weapons including the Dragon’s Breath shotgun, the Mandalorian’s Amban sniper rifle and the Night Hawk, which lets you track your opponents. Moreover, the hunters and vendors will be bringing more weapons throughout the new season. So, keep an eye for those too.

Season 5 Battle Pass

The Battle Pass for Fortnite Chapter 2 season 5 costs 950 V- Bucks. The players can easily earn the V-Bucks by completing various in-game activities or they can buy a bundle of v-Bucks through in-game purchases which will cost around $8.57.

Furthermore, the premium version of the Battle Pass has been replaced by the Fortnite Crew or the option to purchase the first 25 levels of the battle pass for 2,800 V-Bucks.

After completing the Chapter 2 Season 5 Battle Pass, the players will get the following:

1,500 V- Bucks, 7 Skins, 13 skin variants, 5 emotes, 7 emoticons, 1 pet, 7 loading screens, 2 music tracks, 7 sprays, 6 gliders, 7 banners, 6 harvesting tools, 2 harvesting tool styles, 6 back bling, 4 contrail and finally 6 weapon wraps.

Other than these, you can also get a number of cosmetics after completing the Epic Quests alongside the tiers. After that only, you can avail the following cosmetics:

5 skin variants, 1 emote, 2 banners, 1 music track, 1 loading screen and 1 contrail.

Epic Games, the developers of Fortnite describes this new quest as following:

“As a hunter, it’s your duty to help the Island’s characters in their unstable new reality. Take on their quests and bounties, get intel on your surroundings, or hire them to be your ally. Don’t want to negotiate? Challenge them to a duel and reap the rewards”.

Spend your wages

The new characters only accept one form of payment: bars! Earn bars by completing quests and bounties, eliminating players, or finding hidden stashes around the Island. Spend your earned bars on new exotic weapons, upgrades, intel, services, and more.

Along with these, the developers are also going to bring additional licensed characters in the game.
