Last year, the sub-brand of Xiaomi, Realme, announced that it will launch a brand new Realme Smart Scale and a Smart Bulb in India. The wait for the new smart product seems to be over as the company has mentioned that both of these products will be launched on 24th March 2021 in India.
Realme has an ever-growing list of lifestyle products, and the latest addition to that list, for the Indian market, will be the smart scale and the smart bulb. Interestingly, the smart scale had already been launched in its home market of China back in 2020.
The tech giant mentioned that the scale can be used to measure body fat with a Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA) sensor. Moreover, the scale will also be capable of measuring the users’ heart rate.
The smart scale features a 6mm reinforced glass cover at the top, and underneath the glass, there is a hidden LED display that is said to save power. The scale can measure weight up to 350kgs with 50 grams precision. The smart scale comes with two modes: a pet mode, which can weigh pets that weigh up to 9.99 kgs; moreover, the company has mentioned that it can also be used to weigh fruits, vegetables, and other small stuff.
However, there seems to be a downside to the scale. The smart scale cannot be repaired in case of damage. It can only be replaced. It is likely to be offered in white and blue color options. In China, the smart scale is priced at CNY 129 which is approximately INR. 1,400.
On the other hand, the Realme Smart Bulb will offer 16 million colors, 1700K-6500K Color Temperature. Realme had announced last year that it will bring this product to India. As per those reports, the bulb is made from flame-resistant material and promises to last up to 13 years. Furthermore, the bulb also supports voice command controls, surge protection and has a wide voltage input. More details to follow.
