Today, the Chinese multinational technology company, Huawei, has officially announced the unveiling of the new  Win11 MateBook 16 Ryzen Edition notebook, with an unchanged configuration for a price lower than last year’s starting price.

Recall that the Chinese tech giant officially debuted the MateBook 16 all-rounder in May of last year, which is packed with an AMD standard pressure processor that can deliver up to 54W of performance. The R5 5600H with 16GB+512GB storage starts at 6299 yuan, while the R7 5800H with 16GB+512GB storage starts at 6799 yuan.

The machine’s screen features a 16-inch 3:2 ratio 2.5K resolution (2520×1680), 1.07 billion colors, average E=1, 100 percent sRGB color gamut, and dual eye protection.

MateBook 16 has large dual fans and a high-density innovative hinge design cooling system (air intake and exhaust at the same time at the hinge), new shark fin heat dissipation, 2mm heat pipe, supports 135W fast charging, can achieve 12.5 hours of battery life, and charge for 15 minutes, 3.5 hours of office work.

In comparison to the previous generation, the touchpad area of this notebook has grown by 46%. Three mobile phone application screens can now be opened with multi-screen cooperation. Huawei has integrated one-touch transmission, and the one-touch sensing area has been extended by 200 percent.

The previous generation has a resolution of 2,520 x 1,680 pixels and a 3:2 display. Unfortunately, the IPS panel’s maximum brightness is only 300 nits, which is somewhat low. Huawei has also included AMD Ryzen 5000 APUs in the device, specifically the Ryzen 5 5600H and Ryzen 7 5800H. Both processors include 16 GB of RAM, 512 GB of SSD storage, and an 84 Wh battery.

The MateBook 16 weighs 1.99 kg and dimensions 351 x 254.9 x 17.88 mm. The laptop lacks a dedicated GPU, which is unfortunate, but the integrated Vega GPU should suffice for most applications.

Thus, users can now get the new Huawei Win11 MateBook 16 Ryzen of R5 5600H + 16GB + 512GB for 5799 yuan on hand, while the R7 5800H + 16GB + 512GB storage at the rates of 6299 yuan price.
