On August 29th, Sony Interactive Entertainment announced that the company had set foot into a final agreement to obtain Savage Game Studios, a mobile game development studio headquartered in Helsinki and Berlin. With this obtainment, Sony will go on with its dedication to developing and restyling innovative experiences for all players worldwide.
PlayStation has been piled up with many titles yet to be released in forthcoming days. The new accession of Savage would be a terrific way to carve the mobile gaming department of the firm.
The following words were uttered by the CEO and co-founder of Savage –
“Established in 2020 and led by myself and fellow Co-founders Nadjim Adjir and Michael McManus, Savage Game Studios was born of our many years of mobile game development experience spanning several massively successful global IPs. Our guiding vision was a creative space where experimentation and taking risks weren’t warily avoided but rather eagerly embraced. We’ve all worked at big studios, and while we respect the advantages of ample resources, we wanted to stay small and nimble so we could call our shots.“So why then,” you may be thinking to yourself, “would you join PlayStation Studios?” We made this deal because we believe that PlayStation Studios’ leadership respects our vision for how we can best operate and succeed and because they, too, are not afraid to take chances. All of that, plus the ability to potentially tap into PlayStation’s amazing catalog of IP and the fact that we will benefit from the kind of support that only they can provide… The harder question to answer would be, “why not?”On behalf of everybody at Savage Game Studios, thank you for having us. As to ratch up the process in mobile gaming, Savage Game Studios will enter into the new realm dubbed Studios Mobile Division, a complete turnover venture from the console. The PlayStation Studios Mobile team is now developing blueprints that are submerged in forging a new adventurous experience for players through innovative, on-the-go gaming based on new and existing PlayStation IP that ties up the know with PlayStation Studios’ high-quality standards.
