Blizzard Entertainment postponed the planned update for Overwatch 2 due to a critical issue. The company promised to provide an update on it as soon as possible, and now the Overwatch 2 midseason update finally has a release date.

Overwatch 2 midseason update is set to release on November 17th

Following the announcement of the patch delay, Blizzard’s official Twitter account confirmed that the Overwatch 2 midseason update would be live on November 17th at 11 a.m. PST or 1 p.m. CT.

Even though no details were provided, it was unclear how long users would have to wait for the midseason update. The problem was immediately found and fixed by Blizzard, who will now deliver the patch quicker than some fans would have anticipated.

In yesterday’s post, Blizzard stated, “We are temporarily disabling Mei to resolve a fault with her Ice Wall ability that allows heroes to reach unintended locations.” “We are trying to fix these problems as soon as we can and hope to bring Mei back in our next forthcoming patch, which is scheduled for November 15,” the company added.

Players of Overwatch 2 can expect a significant midseason update that will fix concerns with hero balance and reinstate the well-liked Damage hero Mei to the game’s cast of playable characters.

Mei fans will be satisfied with this midseason update, while Overwatch 2 Genji fans will be disappointed because his nerfs may severely limit his efficacy in professional games. Fans have been requesting a nerf for Sojourn, who has been a lock in the majority of games, but she has resisted changes thus far.

The first-person shooter game Overwatch 2 continues on its predecessor by introducing several significant improvements, like new characters, maps, and game modes.

In addition to a new advancement system with the battle pass that substitutes the old loot box system. These modifications, together with the game’s transition to free-to-play, gave the series new life. Overwatch 2 is free to download on all the major platforms including Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
