Today, Onoma Studios, formerly known as Square Enix Montreal, stated that some of their mobile titles, including Hitman Sniper: The Shadows, Deus Ex Go, Battle Champions, and Space Invaders: Hidden Heroes, will be discontinued.
As four of these mobile games won’t be playable soon, players have less than two months left to explore them. Deus Ex Go was originally launched in 2016 by the Montreal-based Square Enix company. Even though the game is so old at this time, claims it was still among the finest in the series.
Deus Ex Go, Hitman Sniper, Battle Champions, and Space Invaders: Hidden Heroes from Square Enix Montreal will no longer be available
The Hitman Sniper: The Shadows video game is a spin-off of the original Hitman stealth assassination franchise. In this follow-up to the original Hitman Sniper, players take aim at a range of targets with the sniper rifle. The game was released the previous year, and while it was not widely popular, several players really enjoyed the gameplay. This game is one of four developed by Square Enix Montreal that will be shut down by January of the following year.
After December 1st, the games will be removed from storefronts, and gamers won’t have access to them after January 4th, 2023. Also, the players may no longer make new purchases in those games, and any that they have already made will not be refunded.

Deus Ex Go has been discontinued as a result of the Embracer acquisition, although a new mainstream Deus Ex game might possibly emerge from it. Even though Embracer changed the studio’s name to Onoma in October, news of the company’s probable mobile games developer shutdown surfaced just after it.
As part of the same agreement that handed it control of Square Enix Montreal, the game publisher also bought Eidos Montreal. When the agreement was made, Eidos revealed its intention to bring back the Deus Ex series. More recent sources claim that a game is currently in the early stages of development.
Eidos Montreal hasn’t made any new game announcements since being acquired by Embracer Group. We’ll have to wait to see what the studio has planned for the future.
