Anchor, a Tokyo-based technology company, has unveiled a new card-type anti-lost tracker that can search for the iPhone itself named Eufy Security SmartTrack Card. The anti-lost tracker card comes almost a year after the firm announced the development.
In April 2022, at the Anker Power Conference – 2022 Spring, Anchor Japan announced the development of the Eufy Security SmartTrack Card as an alternative to Apple’s AirTag. Now, the card-type loss prevention tracker has finally been released and started selling for iPhone users.
A New iPhone Anti-lost Tracker
The anti-lost tracker has a metal clip that you may use to connect it to other objects, such as laptops or passports, or you can put it in your wallet. The tracker’s Bluetooth connection has a range of 260 feet. The thin device weighs about 0.64 oz, measures 3.31 x 2.17 inches, and has a thickness of 2.4 mm.
However, it’s important to note that the device is not currently compatible with Android phones and tablets. The tracker comes with a built-in 380mAh lithium battery, and can be used for up to 3 years, unfortunately, the battery cannot be replaced
The card contains an incorporated alarm that lets you use the device to locate your phone. A double tap on the card activates the feature even while your phone is in silent mode. Also, you can give your tracking card to loved ones.
The QR code displayed on the eufy card can be used to identify your desired contact information if someone finds the lost Security SmartTrack Card-linked device. The card has a built-in non-replaceable battery that allows it to last up to three years and is waterproof, so it can be used in the rain.
An Alternative To Apple AirTag
When considering Bluetooth trackers that work with iOS, the Apple AirTag may be the first thing that springs to mind, but it’s not the only option. The AirTag’s puck-shaped form is abandoned in favour of one that resembles a credit card, the Eufy SmartTrack Card.
The device, which functions with the Apple Find My app and is conceptually similar to the Apple AirTag, can send immediate notifications if you leave your linked device behind.
The SmartTrack card performs nearly the same duties as the AirTag and even works with Apple’s Find My network and app to make it simple to find. A tracking app with a few unique features is also available from Eufy, but it is less user-friendly. It is a good substitute for the AirTag for tracking wallets and other slim goods that can’t fit Apple’s tracker, despite not working with Android smartphones.
Connecting Eufy Security SmartTrack Card To iPhones For Tracking
Two distinct methods are used for basic tracking: locally via Bluetooth and remotely through Apple’s Find My network. The first works with the Find My app that’s built into most iPhones, iPads, and Apple Watches and allows you to find the SmartTrack Card locally, while the latter uses the Find My app that’s integrated into most iPhones, iPads, and Apple Watches and lets you find the card remotely.
As they both have slightly distinct feature sets, Eufy suggests utilizing both apps. Both can set off the alarm on the SmartTrack Card, which can assist you in locating your wallet. Alternatively, by pressing the card’s button twice, the Eufy app will ring your phone. If your friends or relatives have the Eufy app downloaded on their devices, you may also share tracking information with them.
Either way, setting up the card in Find My and Eufy Security on your phone is easy. Just install the iPhone/iPad/Apple Watch application ” eufy Security ” and tap the “+” of My Device at the top of the device tab.
Select “SmartTrack Card” from Add Device.
Press the Eufy Security SmartTrack Card button for 3 seconds until you hear 3 beeps.
Due to Apple’s far wider network of devices, Find My, on the other hand, has global tracking capabilities and can sound a left-behind warning on the card if you’re going to walk away from it. The location of the tracker and its location on Apple Maps will both be displayed once the Eufy Security SmartTrack Card has been linked to the Eufy Security App.

The Eufy Security SmartTrack Card has been launched in Europe. The tracker is already available in the United States for $29.99 and in the United Kingdom for £29.99. Discounts are currently available on the device website and at Amazon, with $6 off in the US and a 5% coupon in the United Kingdom.
