Apple was fined heavily in Beijing due to a claim that created a lot of problems for the brand in the future. The Cupertino giant advertised the M1 processor as the fastest central processing unit by the brand so far. Nonetheless, it got served with a notice on May 31 saying that the company has to pay an administrative penalty of 200,000 yuan by the Beijing Dongcheng District Market Supervision Administration for sharing multiple fake advertisements.

The reason why Apple was fined is that before Macbook Air, the company had already rolled out devices with M1 Max and M1 Pro. Now, this is contradictory to the claim made by Apple that the M1 chip is the fastest so far. As per the official information, M1 is the first processor designed specifically for Mac.

It comes equipped with an 8-core central processing unit consisting of four high-performance cores and four high-efficiency cores. M1 can be dubbed as Apple’s first computer processor with an advanced 5nm fabrication process. Not only this, but the chipset also gets 16 billion transistors too. In addition, we can also not forget that the Apple Neural Engine works on breakthrough machine learning performance.

The M1 processor skyrockets the speed of the Central Processing Unit (CPU) by 3.5 times, the graphics processor speed up by up to 6 times, and the machine learning speed by 15 times. While improving the performance, the M1 chip will also have a better battery life which will be around 2x times longer than what we got to see in the older generations of Mac.
