After six weeks of accepting the order, Apple finally started to roll out the most awaited iMac Pro with 18 cores in the United States. People who ordered the device within the very first lot of the announcement will be getting their package from Tuesday, February 6 approximately. Customers claimed that they had found their product with “shipped” status on the FedEx website.
The basic version of iMac Pro costs around $7,399 in the United States, and to get the top-notch variant; you need to pay up to $13,999. At the time of taking the orders, Apple gave an estimated shipping time of 6-8 weeks, but as they are running a bit late as per their assumption, it shifted the delivery date to February. There is no information on whether the 14-core models have been shipped yet.
Besides the 18-core iMac Pro, customers also have the option of 8-core and 10-core to choose from. This starts with a comparatively low price, only $4,999, and is expected to be shipped in late December. To steal more attention, Micro Center is offering a discount of $1,000 for the base model till the stocks last.
The device is embedded with an 18-core Xeon processor of Intel, having a storage capacity of 4 TB (SSD type) and 128 GB of ECC RAM. For the graphics segment, the AMD Radeon Pro Vega, along with 16 GB of HBM2 memory, will be able to please the hard-core gamers without any doubt.
Apple has specially crafted this high-end workstation for those professionals who indulge themselves in heavy video and graphics editing, 3D designing, and VR content creation.
