Asus is going to launch the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M3, the Zenfone Max M3, and the Zenfone Max M3 Lite with the new Snapdragon chipsets namely the Bengal, Scuba, Lagoon, and Lito. But what will be used in the respective devices is still a mystery and perhaps the Pro version shall be using the Lito processor as we can guess from the powerful specs.

Lito uses a similar power management IC PM8150 which is seen in Snapdragon 855 SoC. During the last month, based on the Galaxy S20 source code, it has been noted that 4 new SoCs could be coming from the house of Qualcomm which will be named Bengal, Scuba, Lagoon, and Lito respectively.

The Lito has an octa-core processor with two 2.3G Hz cores and 6 cores of 1.7 GHz each. Adreno 620 is the compatible GPU. This matches the processor in the Geekbench listing matching with the speed of Snapdragon 765 5G SoC.

The Snapdragon 662 was codenamed ‘Bengal’ on the benchmarking website as well. The Bengal could possibly refer to the area of Bengal. It will possibly have a 4+4 octa-core configuration having 2016MHz and 1804MHz with an Adreno 610 GPU and a maximum frequency of 980MHz. The Snapdragon 665 also has similar specs but its codename is Trinket and hence 662 could be the possible one.

Coming to “Lagoon”, it has been speculated that the CPU has a 2+6 octa-core configuration and supports the UFS standard. Nothing has been told about the GPU in the case of Lagoon and from the Regulator file we can understand that the PM6350 is used as the power management IC in this regard. It could possibly be the Snapdragon 690 5G.

Among these, “scuba” was also discovered, It has a quad-core configuration GPU was unknown just like Lagoon. Since the power management IC uses PM2250, it probably belongs to the Snapdragon 200 series. Thus we are yet to see how these new processors turn out to be.
