Gaming enthusiast Luke Ross leaks new gameplay footage showing the Virtual Reality mod for Cyberpunk 2077. The video showed different activities of the player as he moved around the game’s setting. Also, in the new footage are various aspects of Cyberpunk 2077, which the developers have transferred into Virtual Reality.

This event isn’t the first time Luke Ross created a virtual reality mod for video games. The gaming enthusiast was renowned for creating virtual reality mods for PC games like Red Dead Redemption 2 and Grand Theft Auto V.

Ross’ mods still employed a gamepad for navigating the game’s setting and general controls without fully supporting total VR motion controls. But they offer full virtual reality head tracking that could be utilized for movement and focusing through the player’s eye view.

  • What Cyberpunk 2077 Players Can Expect

The upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 PC video game appears to offer a similar control system to Ross’ VR mods. That means a combination of gamepad navigation control with Virtual Reality head tracking. The video showcases about 300 seconds of new gameplay with Ross’ upcoming mod for the Personal Computer version of the game.

  • More Details on Cyberpunk 2077

On Ross’ Patreon page, he also shared more information about the options and operations of the mod, qualifying the game’s performance as surprisingly positive. Per the specifications, a Core i9-9900K and RTX 3090 camera shot the debuted video at a 2700×2700 image resolution. The UI approximates around 60-65 FPS for the footage. However, Ross reports getting a more stable 80-90 FPS when not recording.

According to Ross, keeping the graphics as low as possible will help give an exceptional level of performance when playing VR games. According to the enthusiast, effects like ultra settings and ray-tracing would only cause a hazy view in VR.

It’s not clear when Cyberpunk 2077 will become available to users, but expectations are high that the game will launch soon.
