In a bid to enhance the user’s experience on its devices, the Chinese drones and accessories manufacturer DJI has revealed that DJI RC will be compatible with DJI Air 2S in a month. Recently, several rumors have been circulating media that the DJI RC controller will be compatible with DJI Air 2S this month.

Officially Confirmed DJI RC Support Air 2S Soon

In response to the circulating rumors, an official of DJI has confirmed that the DJI RC controller will soon be compatible with DJI Air 2S, but no specific date yet. The official disclosed this via the DJI forum while responding to a question on when the DJI RC controller will be compatible with DJI Air 2S.

In his words:

“To address your concern, the DJI RC is not compatible with DJI Air 2S. The compatibility will be supported in the future. The specific time needs to wait for the update of the firmware.”

Users Express Mixed Reactions Ahead DJI RC Compatible with DJI Air 2S

However, several DJI RC users have expressed mixed reactions before and after the official confirmation of the DJI Air 2S compatibility with DJI RC.

A user expressed his opinion via the DJI forum and said it would be nice since it is compatible with the Mini3P already.

Another user:

“Would be nice if DJI made it compatible with the Air 25. Would be even better if DJI made the DJI RC Pro controller that already have compatible with the Mini3P.”

Meanwhile, another user who advised DJI to keep the price down said it would be really nice if they used the 1000-nit screens with the new controller only for Air 25 owners.

“What would be really nice is if they used the 1000 nit screens with the new controller only for Air 25 owners but still keep the price down. That would really help continue to drive new purchases of the Air 25. If DJI is smart they will keep some features exclusive to the Air 2S. Otherwise, everyone will just give up and go for the cheaper drone since it’s 90% of what the Air 25 can do.”

DJI RC Pro is Compatible With the DJI Air 2S

However, it should be noted that the DJI RC Pro, which was released alongside DJI’s flagship DJI Mavic 3 drone in late 2021, has now been updated to support compatibility with the DJI Air 2S. The update follows in the footsteps of the RC Pro’s predecessor, the DJI Smart Controller, with DJI adding compatibility with more drones over time via firmware update.
