Meizu, the Chinese consumer electronics company, announced back in March 2021 that the company would launch the Flyme For Car in-vehicle system. At that time, the Chinese company had also mentioned that the system was under development. Following the announcement of Flyme For Car, the company went completely silent on this system, but now, as per the Qicha App, Zhuhai Meizu Technology Co., Ltd. recently published a patent under the title “Methods, Devices, Electronic Equipment and Media for Drivers’ Driving State Detection”.

The patent has been published under publication number CN113128443A, and the file also shows that the patent was filed in April 2021.

The patent is filed for driving state detection, which means that it would be easier to initiate a rescue mission in case of an accident. The patent details further show the cause behind such traffic accidents. If a vehicle gets involved in a traffic accident, receiving immediate assistance becomes of utmost importance; however, this is also something that people caught in an accident often do not get.

The new patent is mainly concerned with addressing this issue. Moreover, calling for help or assistance becomes difficult, if not completely impossible, for the people who got into the accident. Although onboard equipment or mobile terminals are available on the car to seek assistance for such situations, the reality is that most people do not get to use that readily available equipment.

The patent abstract lists that with the new technology, this new method will automatically send rescue information to the target terminal device when it detects that the driver’s driving state is not in its usual state.

The technology uses the driver’s location information and the driver’s basic information provided to the rescue team. Essentially, this idea is to send immediate and proper assistance to those in need to speed up the rescue process.
