Phil Spencer took to the stage at Xbox’s E3 press conference to kick off 60 games in Los Angeles including 14 from Xbox studios and 34 games premiering on Xbox Game Pass. The company showed tons of games, an Xbox Game Pass program for PC and updated us about cloud gaming and new hardware.

This today is the largest showcase of games on any stage, anywhere this year – Phil Spencer, Head of Xbox

We’re expecting announcements, potentially related to next-generation hardware, cloud streaming and a slew of games from its studios and third-party partners.

The show opened with a new story trailer for Obsidian’s The Outer Worlds, showcasing the narrative and moral choices available for players. Immediately after, a trailer for The Outer Worlds hit the screen. The game is now available for pre-order and will be coming to Xbox Game Pass at the launch on October 25th.

After that, Rahni Tucker and Dom Matthews from the Ninja Theory took the stage to reveal a new title called Bleeding Edge. A 4v4 online hero brawler, Bleeding Edge looks to have a heavy emphasis on melee and sports an art style similar to Overwatch and Borderlands.

From the creators of Minecraft, it has come to a new adventure – Minecraft Dungeons. Again, this game will be available on Game Pass at launch in Spring 2020 with four-player local and online co-op.

Next was the CD Projekt Red that showcased some new footage from the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077, depicting a heist gone wrong and a betrayal that saw our hero fighting for his life. The gameplay closed out with an in-game guest appearance from Keanu Reeves.

The company further announced that Double Fine Productions is joining Xbox Game Studios, a massive coup for Xbox. The company is behind Psychonauts and Broken Age, among others. Tim Schafer of Double Fine took to the stage. He offered to make the debut of “Halo stuff, Forza stuff or Excel stuff,” but then showed off Psychonauts 2. The trailer showcased crazy platforming, in which Raz climbed through a world full of teeth. No release date has been announced, but it’s no doubt coming to Xbox and PC.

Spencer also mentions that due to the expanding nature of gamers and games, in fewer than two decades, the number of gamers has accelerated to over 2 billion gamers globally. There were many other games revealed as mentioned just a few. The Xbox team is dedicated to bringing games to everyone where, when, and with who they want so you can play with your friends wherever you are.
