After haunting various platforms since March, the iconic survival horror masterpiece Resident Evil 4 has made its chilling debut on Apple Devices – the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, as well as select Mac and iPad models. Available for purchase on the App Store, Apple enthusiasts can rejoice as they receive an exclusive 50% discount until January 17, adding an extra layer of suspense to the immersive gameplay.

For those with brave hearts who are eager to explore this immersive world, the main game, which consumes a large amount of data (30GB), is now available for a limited time at $29.99. Fans have plenty of time to take advantage of the discount as the deal is valid until January 17. If you can’t get enough horror, there is extra DLC available for $14.99 that includes Ada Wong’s Separate Ways and other content.

The in-app purchase unlocks the game for a single Apple ID across iPhone, iPad, and Mac without any issues, but it does not support shared family plans. Compatibility requirements include macOS 13.0 or later for Macs equipped with an M1 chip, iOS 17.0 or later for iPhones boasting an A17 Pro chip or later (limited to iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max), and iPadOS 17.0 or later for iPads featuring the M1 chip or later.

Resident Evil 4 takes up a large amount of storage space on your device – 70GB, to be exact. Don’t worry, though; preliminary testing shows that the AAA title plays well. Comparing Resident Evil Village, which was just released on the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, to this game, both highlight the capabilities of the RE Engine. Designed for outstanding graphics, it maximizes efficiency even on less powerful hardware.

Users of the iPhone 15 Pro Max may enjoy a consistent 60 frames per second at HD+ quality thanks to Apple’s MetalFX upscaling technology. With 16GB of unified RAM, the M2 iPad Pro, on the other hand, runs the game at its native resolution of 2732 x 2048 with ease. This astounding accomplishment highlights the power and compatibility of Apple’s flagship devices and guarantees a spine-tingling experience for horror enthusiasts.
