Ubisoft is working on a new co-op shooter game under the code name “Project U.” The game has yet to be publicly announced, and the publisher has recently launched a new website promising a closed playtest and registrations.

Ubisoft’s Project U is a session-based co-op shooter game

Project U looks to have the makings of some sort of a multiplayer action game, however, there aren’t many specifics available at the present. Additionally, it is said that in Project U, many participants cooperate to succeed against an overwhelming threat, which is rather ambiguous but at least provides us a hint as to what may be coming.

How to register for the Project U playtest?

Visit the Ubisoft website and log in with your Ubisoft account to get started. After that, click the “Register Now” button and answer a few simple questions. It’s not too difficult to answer the questions. Your Discord ID, PC specifications, details about your gaming interests, and other details will be requested by Ubisoft.
You’ll receive an email from Ubisoft after signing up successfully for playtesting to let you know whether you’ve been chosen. Though registering does not guarantee your selection.

Requirements to participate in Ubisoft’s Project U playtest

The following is the recommended minimum PC system from Ubisoft for testing the game:

30 FPS: OS: Windows 10 CPU: Intel Core i5-4460, AMD Ryzen 3 1200 GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 (8GB of VRAM) or AMD Radeon RX Vega 64 (8GB of VRAM)

RAM: 16 GB dual channel 60 FPS: OS: Windows 10 CPU: Intel Core i7-6700K, AMD Ryzen 5 2600 GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 (8GB of VRAM) or AMD Radeon RX Vega 64 (8GB of VRAM) RAM: 16 GB dual channel

Players from European countries such as France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Austria, Switzerland, Portugal, Spain, and Italy will be the only players allowed to participate in the playtest, which will only be available on PCs. If you live anywhere else, you’ll have to wait until Project U opens up again globally.
