Today, reports have revealed that the upcoming HP’s EliteBook 840 G9 thin and light notebook has been exposed online.

The images of the new notebook were spotted on the Geekbench benchmarking platform, equipped with the highest model i7-1280P of Intel’s 12th-generation Core P (28W) series.

The forthcoming EliteBook 840 G9 has an i7-1280P processor, as depicted in the image. There are 14 cores and 20 threads in this processor, with 6 large cores and 8 tiny cores. The memory in this notebook is 16GB DDR5 4800.

The i7-1280P achieved 1773 points in the single-core test and 8975 points in the multi-core test, a significant improvement over the i7-1195G7 from the previous generation.

Recently, it has been reported that the HP EliteBook 840 G9 notebook has been launched at CES, with optional 14- and 16-inch 16-to-10 screens, and is expected to be launched in March.

In comparison, the Intel Core 12th Gen i7-1260o has 12 cores and 16 threads (4 big cores + 8 small cores) and 18MB L3 cache, whilst the i7-12700H has 6 large cores + 8 small cores and 24MB L3 cache.

The Intel Core i5-12600, on the other hand, has made an unexpected appearance in the Geek bench database with 6 cores and 12 threads, as well as a UHS 770 core IRIS Display.

As shown in the diagram, the core -12600 has 6 cores and 12 threads, with speeds ranging from 3.3 to 4.8GHz and a three-level cache of 18MB.

The Intel Iris UHD 770, 32EU processor has a clock speed of up to 1450 MHz, which appears to be significantly higher than the current Intel 12th Generation processor.

The HP EliteBook G9 is expected to be an ultra-premium high-end thin and light notebook with an untouched Intel Core i7-1260p processor.

Intel has not stated when the 12th-generation Core P-series processors would be available. This month, new thin and light notebooks from a variety of companies are slated to be released.
