Xiaomi To Launch the RedmiBook 16 on July 8

Must Read

Xiaomi officially announced on Weibo that the brand new RedmiBook 16 will release on July 8, 2020. Ideally, the RedmiBook should come with two configuration options, the i5-10210U, and i7-10510U two processors, and equipped with MX350 graphics card.

The new notebook will run on Intel 10th generation core processor. However, Intel is looking forward to releasing the 11th generation of processors which might suppress the sales of this new RedmiBook since Xiaomi is offering 10th gen Intel core processor.

In terms of its design, the new RedmiBook will sport a large 16.1-inch screen with a three-sided narrow overall screen design taking the screen ratio up to 90%. The screen will offer a resolution of 1920x 1080 pixels, and a 100% sRGB color gamut.

Even though Xiaomi’s offer of a larger screen could be a positive thing for the consumers, but for people who are constantly on the road, the weight of the laptop could become a problem.

The laptop weighs 1.8kg which is comparatively heavier than other laptops available on the market. Under the hood, the RedmiBook 16 Ruilong Edition is equipped with AMD Vega integrated display. It is highly unlikely that the new RedmiBook would come packed with a graphics card, such as the GTX1650Ti, and is likely to come equipped with NVIDIA GeForce MX350.

This necessarily is not a bad thing since the NVIDIA GeForce MX350 works best while using office apps such as Photoshop.

There is very little doubt that the RedmiBook 16 comes with improved versions and features in a plethora of areas. The new laptop has certainly improved on its previous versions. There is a buzz going around that the price for this new version of the RedmiBook 16 could start at 4,000 yuan. With a price such as this, it is worth considering buying this model that comes packed with slightly better features than its previous models.
