Xbox has acquired Zenimax Media, the owner of game studios like Bethesda. The new Xbox experience is also officially rolling out to the Xbox beta app for Android, according to a new post from Microsoft Xbox.

The update fully rebuilt the app from ground-up with a new design, new features, and new speed. The old Xbox app was slow, unreliable, and felt very bloated at times. The app feels faster to launch and navigate, and looks stunning matching the Xbox Game Pass app in design.

This is more than a redesign and has a host of features. It also brings the app in-line with the to-be-released Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S schedule to be launched on November 10.

Notification inbox

There will be a unified notification inbox. And also, there will be one notification inbox for players to receive new updates on games, friends, and more, and the same inbox can be a container on the phone. Players can manage all their notifications and alerts on the go.

Xbox Party and Chat

Xbox Party and Chat will also be available like in the old Xbox app, but there will be many more features. The users can keep in touch from the phone with messages and chat, and be able to do it no matter what device the other player is using. There will also be new sharing features.

Share captures and screenshots

The new app will be easier to access, download, and share captures and screenshots from your Xbox device. It has built-in support for multiple social media platforms as well, like Instagram and Snapchat, and the user can share to multiple friends at a time.

Profile highlights

There will also be Profile highlights with a new area in the user’s profile and friends’ profile to easily access new information, shared captures and more. This will be like a personal feed.

Xbox remote play

The Remote console set-up will enable the players to remotely set-up new consoles, by remotely installing games, choosing settings, and more, even while the Xbox is updating using the app.

Xbox Console Streaming (Preview)

It will be a perfect next-generation device. The Universal search to find Xbox games, gamers, app features, and so on. The Xbox remote play is yet another new feature that was earlier known as Xbox Console Streaming (Preview) which will be an easily accessible counterpart to Xbox Cloud Gaming and will allow players to stream games directly from their console to their phone anywhere.

Sign-in to multiple devices

Now not only Insiders, but everyone can access this feature using the app. Xbox is also releasing a new feature that will allow players to sign-in to multiple devices at once using their Xbox Live Account. Thus many apps can run together.

This is a huge declaration for Xbox fans. Nonetheless, this is a great update that will massively improve the mobile Xbox experience, making Xbox accessible to everyone once the user installs the new Xbox beta app.
