Egregor Seeks Ransom for Stealing Data of and Gaming Giants – Ubisoft and Crytek

Possible data theft has been reported by the major gaming corporations- Ubisoft and Crytek whereby a cybercriminal group Egregor, had threatened to publish the source code of Watch Dogs: Legion game. The information has previously been released by cybercriminals on their site on Dark Web.

Their idea of Cyber ransomware used this secret information as a tool to seek a ransom. The companies wanted to have a dialogue in order to bring the masters to the compromising table as it contains a very special data of the Watch Dog’s Source code.

Watch Dogs: Legion Game would be released in a month and it is a little difficult to understand if the source code is of the particular games or not. Previously there have been instances of phishing attacks with the employees of the company .
