Possible data theft has been reported by the major gaming corporations- Ubisoft and Crytek whereby a cybercriminal group Egregor, had threatened to publish the source code of Watch Dogs: Legion game. The information has previously been released by cybercriminals on their site on Dark Web.
Their idea of Cyber ransomware used this secret information as a tool to seek a ransom. The companies wanted to have a dialogue in order to bring the masters to the compromising table as it contains a very special data of the Watch Dog’s Source code.
Watch Dogs: Legion Game would be released in a month and it is a little difficult to understand if the source code is of the particular games or not. Previously there have been instances of phishing attacks with the employees of the company .
Recently Ubiquity had lost 20 b whereas Cruel has lost 300MB in the projects’ developmental stage of Warface and Arena of Fate and Warface. Thus we have to keep an eye whether the thieves twin the data offer leak a major deal of it.
